Under construction... Everywhere! Improved efficiency with entry into Schengen. Wifi still sucks. Taxis are a scam - get Uber or Bolt or take the train to the main train station for a bit over a dollar! And don't change money of course.

I cannot say enough positive about the staff at BHC International Airport who helped me. My grandson and I came through yesterday afternoon from Paris. We picked up our luggage and used the toilet. I put my backpack and a small bag with medical equipment on the shelf behind the toilet stool in the stall. (You perhaps know where this is going.) I walked out and left the two bags. We caught a ride share into the city. I recognized my mistake just as we entered our apartment. I caught a taxi back to the airport. The Security folks did not simply allow me walk into the baggage area. (I did try but was stopped as I entered the doors to the baggage area.) Calls from two security officials brought an airport official. Mr. Viorel walked me through the baggage area to the toilet after I described what I had left. ‘Elena’ (I did not get her name and I understand Elena is a common Romanian name.), a kindly and matronly housekeeping worker, was there. She had locked the stall where I had left my things. I made a careful identification of the items in the bag, and they were given to me. Thank you to the airport staff—represented for me by Benescu Viorel and ‘Elena.’—and to the honest travelers of the Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport.
